News 2026. Fly Fishing Catch Reports, Water Level, Water Temp

Gjerfloen Flyfishing, Norway. Updated information bout fishing conditions on the fly fishing zone, water level and water temperature in the Trysil river.

You will also find information concerning fly fishermen, catch reports, may fly hatching, statistics of catches, weather forecast, origin of fishermen and other things of interest for fly fishers and fishermen. (English only)

Nytt isfiskekonsept. Mormyskafiske med attraktor. Blinken er laget av plast og er vektløs i vann. Forsiktig fisk kan dermed dra avgårde med kroken uten å merke motstand. Blinken festes til snøret med duppstoppere og kan flyttes opp og ned på snøret etter behov.

During the 2025 season 229 fishing licenses were sold (2024: 201) and 956 fishes were reported on Gjerfloen Flyfishing (2024: 1026). Like the previous year, we had bad fishing conditions most of the time. We had long periods with high water and strong wind. The first week of October we had some good fishermen here here. Even if the conditions were not optimal, we see that those who can the tricks, always get good catches,

Fishing conditions in June were difficult because of high water and strong wind most of the time. 55 daylicenses were sold, but only 20 reports were delivered. Those who delievered reports had average 6,1 catches per day

09.06. Waterflow down to 138 m3/s this morning. Fishing conditions are still difficult, but nevertheless, Gerard Cusack, Ireland, landed 6 brown trouts and 2 graylings yesterday, mainly with streamers.

08.06. Waterflow down to 148 m3/s this morning. Fishing conditions are still difficult, but it was high rising activity on the upper part of the fly zone in the middle of the day. The sea gulls were also activ. The may flies are obviously hatching now.

07.06. Waterflow down to 160 m3/s this morning. Fishing conditions are difficult.

06.06. There has so far been no fishermen on the fly zone this season. Water flow is 169 m3/s this morning. Fishing conditions are very difficult. We have had 50 millimeters of rain since the 1st of June and the flow is therefore much higher than normal for the time being. The weather forcast indicates about 25 millilmeters of rain next week als, so it seems we have to wait a while for good fishing conditions.
