This
new book from Bernd Kuleisa was released in September. For those who like flyfishing
for grayling, this book is a rich source concerning methods, flies, destinations,
guides, tips and tricks. You will also find something from Gjerfloen Flyfishing.
Winterhunting
December

During less than two hours Friday the 4th of December
Ståle Lingås, Ålesund Norway,
succeeded to get these two very nice capercailzies
Slovenia
7th - 11th of October
"Fisketurisme
Innland" arranged a trip to Slovenia for Norwegian fishingguides and riverkeepers.
The Tolmin area was our destination.
My
experiences: Very nice rivers, Soca and Idrija are the most famous. Well cultivated
waters and a lot of nice fish. Expensive
fishing licences and
challenging fishing. Beautiful nature and pleasant
climate. Compared
with Norway the cost of food and accommodation
are low.

but not for fishing.

Anna is the veteran, visiting Gjerfloen for the 5th time.

My has been fishing on Gjerfloen 3 times.

When the water is too warm for fishing, there are alternatives!

their artificial flies.

Ther
first fisherman on Gjerfloen Flyfishing this year, Mattias Strobl, Germany. A
very early spring this year made it possible for him to catch some nice dryflygraylings
in May.
14th

Here
is the new stream at Gjerflokoia (left) created in November last year. The water
is still high, but this looks very promising! Waterflow 180 m3/s and watertemp
4,5 C degrees this morning.

The
new stream at Halvorsøya, upper part.

Here
the path from the parkingplace used to cross a ditch, now it has become a lovely
stream.

At
the lower part of Halvorsøya it used to be stillwater. I think the graylings
will find the area much more atractive now! The fallen tree is cut down by a beaver.
February

Team
Rob Neuhaus (Holland) on Landsjøen the 25th of February. It was more than
60 cms of snow on the ice, but the weather was nice and the pearches seemed to
like the Dutch way of iceangling!

One
of the smaller perches obviously wanted to have a closer look at Eric Neuhaus

A
bigger one showed interest for Nôel Brouwers

Rob
Neuhaus with a standard size Landsjøen pearch

Rolf
van Dort was the "kingfisher" of the day

Just
before ending the session, Maarten Neuhaus hooked this nice pearch, here assisted
by Stéphanie Bakker
