Winter
holiday in peaceful natural environment perfectly situated regarding ski activities
for smaller children, - at the same time short distances to the alpine establishments
at Trysilfjellet and Sälen.  The
alpine establishments in the Trysil mountains have become an extremely popular
ski tourist destination. Thousands and thousands of people spend the winter holiday
up there every year. It takes you 25 minutes with the car from the cabin (Elgstua)
at Plassen to reach the alpine area in the Trysil mountain.
Trysilfjellet From
the cabin you can go cross-country in prepared ski tracks (passing just behind
the cabin) or go skiing with the young ones to the children's skiing arena (500
m from the cabin) situated in undisturbed surroundings. Here the children can
enjoy themselves in prepared small down hills and jump hills. 
This
might be a good alterative for those who want quiet and calm environment, especially
those with smaller children who not yet demand skiing-lifts, snowboards and other
sorts of expensive equipment. At this children's skiing playground there is a
sun exposed snow and wind shelter with a fireplace where you also can have your
lunch.
